I want to sell my used car today, but I have some questions…
Here are some of our frequently asked questions – if you don’t find the answer to your question, please call us - we will be happy to help.
I WANT TO SELL MY CAR NOW, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
We can tailor our service to suit your time-scale. We can provide an accurate quote within one hour and on most occasions can complete a purchase on the day you contact us. We always have funds available and pay for your car when we collect it.
HOW WILL YOU PAY ME FOR MY CAR?
We pay by cleared funds when we collect your car, either a Bankers draft or Bank transfer directly into your account, which you can verify with your bank before you release the car to us.
WHY NOT CASH?
Paying cash for your car means that we have to carry large amounts around with us and once we have paid you – you will have to also.
We feel that in today’s climate, this puts both you and us in a potentially vulnerable position, and is unsafe and unwise.
I HAVE SEVERAL FINANCE PAYMENTS LEFT – I NEEDTO SELL MY CAR FAST, CAN I SELL IT?
Yes you can sell your car but the outstanding balance must be paid in full.
You can either settle your outstanding finance directly with your finance company – we will require written confirmation from them that they have received full, cleared payment or;
Or, we can settle the finance on your behalf, we will simply deduct the outstanding balance from the valuation of your car - we will need the settlement figure, in writing, from the finance company, which due to data protection laws – you will need to get from them.
NB - If you owe more than the sale price of your car to the finance company- you will need to pay the balance prior to selling your car to us and us collecting it – we will require written confirmation of this from your finance company. Alternatively you can pay us the difference in the form of a Bankers draft made payable to the finance company.
I HAVE LOST MY V5 (LOGBOOK) –
I NEED TO SELL MY CAR QUICKLY, WILL YOU BUY IT?
For us to be able to buy your car, we must have the V5 (logbook). If you have mislaid it, but the car is registered in your name, DVLA have an express service option, or you can complete and return a V62 form - obtainable from the post office or online from this link www.direct.gov.uk;
